  • Clare: Southern Cross University joins TAFE credit pathway program, saving students up to $17,000 (9 June). Southern Cross has become the third university — alongside the University of Canberra and Western Sydney University — to offer TAFE graduates abbreviated, lower-cost degrees, removing up to one full year across eight areas including tourism, hotel management, science, IT, business, nursing, and education. Students completing Free TAFE courses can have their first university year covered at no cost. ATEC is developing a national credit recognition framework and will direct additional future student places to participating universities.
